Situationships is a new web series highlighting the good, the bad, and tragically hysterical moments of modern-day dating. Or rather — lack there of. It highlights 8 young people in New York City who find themselves talking to people, dating people, having relations with people, but ultimately having no title with their partners. They aren’t in your traditional “relationship” — they are actually in a “situationship.”
This fresh and provocative, yet perfectly relatable comedy is the ultimate reflection of the dating landscape for today’s young generation. Situationships is about a group of young adults journeying through life, love, and the complicated “relationships” they encounter. We follow a dynamic cast of characters that can relate to just about any fan of our web series. Meet our cast below!
Melody is a sweet suburbanite who’s new to New York; hopeless romantic looking for love in all the wrong places.
Jasmyn is a sassy yet cynical female with a bone to pick with players; never afraid to tell it like it is, but she does have a soft side; amazing best friend and right hand woman.
Alyssa is a single woman who is the definition of a firecracker; adorable, but might cut you if her man is involved; at times she creates relationships with men that are unrequited.
Robyn is a gorgeous seductress who loves hooking up but has no time for commitment; has a strong personality and knows what she wants.
Tarryn is a suave, fit guy who loves letting the ladies take care of him; hilarious and has no inkling of responsibility; ultimate “side guy”
Adrian is great guy who’s smart and funny in his own right; somewhat shy and always does the right thing; unfortunately for him all of his relationships stay in the dreaded friendzone.
Jaden is a well-mannered gentleman who is every female’s dream; handsome, smart, and funny; has a mysterious secret he’s hiding.
Damian is the absolute definition of a player; conceited, attractive, and dangerous which makes him even more alluring; can talk the pants off of a nun, but he breaks every female’s heart.
1. Any problematic relationship characterized by one or more unresolved, interpersonal conflicts — usually confused with dating.
2. A relationship that has no label on it — a friendship but more than a friendship, but not quite a relationship.
3. A relationship that is based off of a situation — ie. friends with benefits and people who are a 'thing.'
4. Two people who are more than friends, act like a couple and do everything that real couples do, but have no title. It's not a relationship — it's a situationship.
